I went there for two weeks, ended up staying for three, went to climb some peaks, climbed everything but those peaks, went to relax, ended up getting sick and doing more than I do in the US. What was supposed to be a short walk, took 5 hours and 8 miles in very rough terrain without water until it got dark. We got all scratched up and no cache. I had the wrong coordinates on the GPS.



We went out with Demos the next day and walked straight into the cache.

I have found that I gain about a stop of IS. The actual IS of my Canon lenses does not seem to be confused. Your mileage may vary, but it may be worth a try. There are a lot of long ponds and lakes in the park, known as Finger Lakes. It was a beautiful 50F degree day, after the late snowstorms. The last ice was slowly mudding the soft ground.
